I have been doing really good the last couple of months with coupons and I started going to CVS each Sunday and getting a deal there. If you plan it right you can use ECB’s (Extra Care Bucks) which are just like cash and use them to buy what you need and then purchase something else that gets you more for your next purchase. It is called rolling over your ECB’s. I have managed to do pretty well and get some things (and sometimes things I don’t need) doing it this way.
This weeks trip to CVS:

I used One $4.00 off $20.00 coupon that printed when I scanned my CVS card at the kiosk (Always do this you get awesome coupons)
1 – $6.00 off coppertone CVS coupon printed at kiosk week before
4 – .55 cents off Edge coupons
1 – $1.00 off coppertone coupon
1 – $4.00 ECB’s from previous trip
I paid $5.64 out of pocket but received $3.75 back worth of ECB’s so it is like I only paid $1.89 for all of this. A savings of almost $23.00.
ECB’s were earned from my 4th use of my green back tag. If you get a green bag tag and they scan it each time you make a purchase on the 4th purchase you get $1.00 in ECB’s back. This was my 4th time. Also the Coppertone purchase earned me $2.00 and the Candy bar was FREE since it was 0.75 and I received 0.75 ECB’s back!
This is what a green bag tag looks like

If you want a little better tutorial on CVS click HERE and go to couponers united and they do a great job of explaining it. I use their site all the time!
What was YOUR good deal this week? I would love to hear about it. Feel free to post a picture on my FB page too!
