We have several home school families in our church and these mommies have some fabulous ideas when it comes to homeschooling. Two weeks ago right when we started our school year my 5 year old got a letter in the mail from his friend Isaac. He wanted to be pan pals!
What an awesome way to practice their writing! They write one page back and forth to each other about once a week for the cost of one stamp. We have received two letters and need to write our second one this weekend. We stuck a little sticker in for a surprise in ours and he sent us a sticker back too!
The other great idea is to write the letter first with a highlighter and the child then traces over the highlighted letters. They don’t get as discouraged coping the letters and they are still practicing writing skills and also learning how to write a letter to someone! win, win!!
