If you don't want to use them and just put them up for decoration then you don't have to wash them and they look firm and crisp. BUT if you want to use them later then I would wash the towel and depending on the type of towel you may need to press it to get wrinkles out. This will keep them from shrinking after you put the handprint or footprint on them. I have a couple that I use and they wash fine. I just throw them in with my regular towels. Just wish a couple of them I had washed before I did them but they are still cute and usuable. Hope this helps! I used the acrylic paint in the little bottles you can find for a dollar at walmart or a craft store. It washes off kids good but stays on the fabric.

About a month ago i found the headboard and foorboard to a baby bed that dates back to 1943, I figured since i don't have the rails to make it back into a babybed i'll figure out how to convert it into a toddler bed. When i lived in New York with my daughter we would ride around and find alot of amazing stuff, we found a lil tike kitchen set one time but it wouldn't fit in the car:(, we found all kinds of furniture and pratically brand new childrens clothes.

Thanks for stopping by and saying hi Heather! Pretty sure I am following your blog now. I think once my boys are older and I don't have to worry about the sand as much and they are more comfortable we may go more! Or take lots of baby powder to get the sand off easily, lol.
