I have had a package of Popsicle Sticks for a long time and haven’t done anything with them. Grandpa’s birthday was the very next day and we needed something simple to go along with the picture frame we bought for him.
The boys always love to paint and do something different so they were eager to sit down and paint.

Very simply they each painted four sticks two blue and two red. You can make them any color you want! I let them dry and then I hot glued them together with a little dot in each corner.

I wrote their names and the year on each of them with Tulip paint and let that dry really well over night.

I printed off a couple of photos and cut them to size and taped them on. I was going to put magnets on the back of them but I was really pressed for time so I grabbed some ribbon that was sitting near by and just tied that on quick so they could be hung easily. I may still steal them and add a magnet on them.

Grandpa was pleased and I also added “Red Sox Fan” on them because grandpa is a huge Red Sox fan and it gave it a personal touch just for him.
This is so easy and inexpensive these would make excellent ornaments for the Christmas tree and great gifts for all the family members and your kids would have fun painting them all for you! You could also glue two popsicle sticks together on each side to make it wider and have more room to write on!
