We got some pine cones from grammies house the other night and she gave us peanut butter and bird seed to make a bird feeder. I eventually want to try to make a wreath but that will take a lot of pine cones.
Here is what we did in pictures. Very simple to do. Smother peanut butter all over the outside and then I dipped it in bird seed and it sticks great. I tied some string around the tops of them and then hung them outside. It is a sticky mess but the boys had fun spreading the peanut better.
We had squirrels find them within 15 minutes. I am hoping the birds find the 3 that the squirrels can’t reach.
What have you done with pine cones lately? I have another idea too but I need some pretty ribbon to do it! The craft store is a dangerous place for me but I may have to go anyway soon.
